Comune di Sant’Alessio in Aspromonte is an institutional body looking at local and European policies that provides assistance to all sectors for the implementation of local and community development projects promoting the crossing between territory demands and opportunities at local, national and European level.
The Municipality, as a local public authority, deals with the social, economic and productive development and deals with people’s development, taking care to implement learning and training courses which could guide the individual during his lifetime satisfying his needs and his requirements and trying to give young people the right job opportunities and improvement at a professional level in an area where there are considerable difficulties in obtaining employment, making the youth aware of matters of European interest and helping them to take part in the many initiatives offered by the European Union.
The Municipality, with the presence of a structured staff, is in charge with the planning and coordination of all kinds of educational and training activities in public schools and it carries out the planning and delivery of services closely linked to education. Its activities are linked to: the management and running of Schools; the planning of services in the education system; monitoring school’s flows and early school leaving.
All the activities are targeted towards promotion of a European reality with active participation together with other European institutions.
Associazione Darsana Teranga – Darśana Teranga is a non profit association based in Southern Italy. The association was established as a result of staff’s many years’ experience with international projects as well as their work in the area of non formal and informal education for youth and adults learners. Over the past 10 years Darśana Teranga team has been involved with E.U. Lifelong Learning all over Europe, having a vast international experience across Europe.
Furthermore, Darśana Teranga aims to set up a wide international and national partnership network, with Museums, Art Galleries, Theatres, Public and Private Institutions, Universities, Chambers of Commerce and Non Profit Organizations. All of the work is based on the positive relational praxis, drawing upon principles of social constructionist and narrative approaches and systemic thinking.
